A comfortable and easy ski touring experience to the foot of Cima Caladora, in the beautiful Val Venegia, allowing a complete view of the Pala Group
A classic and comfortable itinerary allowing you to ski along the western ridge of Val Venegia.
The starting point is just near Pian dei Casoni, where you can comfortably park your vehicle. After an easy climb alongside the Travignolo torrent, the view widens to embrace the magnificence of the Pala Group as you enter Val Venegia.
After passing Malga Venegia, the climb begins alongside the meadows and woods on the western side of the Valley. After La Manda, the climb continues at a leisurely pace until reaching the ridge below Cima Valles and Cima Venegiota. Once in Caladora, you will enjoy a particularly suggestive view of the Pala Group, and by making a full turn, also a complete view of Col Margherita and the nearby Cima Bocche.
After removing your skins, you head down in the opposite direction to the climb, allowing a suggestive descent to Malga Venegiota, followed by a comfortable return first to Malga Venegia and then to Pian dei Casoni.

From Pian dei Casoni, follow the Val Venegia forest road
follow the tracks or visual cues as the terrain is not particularly complex in terms of orientation
From Caladora, descend until Malga Venegiota, first along the forest/meadows and then following the forest road
From Malga Venegiota, return along the forest road until Pian dei Casoni

By car:
1) the best route, A13 (Bologna-Padova) Padova Sud or Padova Ovest exit
SS47 della Valsugana (towards Bassano/Trento) until Cismon del Grappa
SS50bis (towards Feltre/Belluno) until Arten
SS50 for Primiero, San Martino and Rolle Pass until Val Venegia
Note: Approx. 130 km from Padova to Val Venegia; the Padova-Cittadella section of state road no. 47 della Valsugana is very busy on weekdays.
2) A4 (Torino-Trieste) until Vicenza + A31(Vicenza-Valdastico) Dueville exit
SS47 della Valsugana (towards Bassano/Trento) until Cismon del Grappa
SS50bis (towards Feltre/Belluno) until Arten
SS50 for Primiero, San Martino and Rolle Pass until Val Venegia
Note: Approx. 100 km from Dueville to Val Venegia.
3) A22 (Modena-Verona-Brennero) Trento Sud exit
SS47 della Valsugana (towards Bassano/Padua) until Cismon del Grappa
SS50bis (towards Feltre/Belluno) until Arten
SS50 for Primiero, San Martino and Rolle Pass until Val Venegia
Note: Approx. 110 km from Trento to Val Venegia; most of the Trento-Cismon del Grappa section of state road no. 47 della Valsugana is a high-speed motorway.
4) A22 (Modena-Verona-Brennero) Egna-Ora (BZ) exit
SS48 (towards Val di Fiemme - Val di Fassa) until Predazzo
SS50 for Primiero, San Martino and Rolle Pass until Val Venegia
Note: Approx. 70 km from Ora to Val Venegia

Nota: 130 km circa da Padova a Val Venegia; il tratto Padova-Cittadella della statale nr. 47 della Valsugana è molto trafficato nei giorni feriali.
2) A4 (Torino-Trieste) fino a Vicenza + A31(Vicenza-Valdastico) uscita Dueville
SS47 della Valsugana (direzione Bassano/Trento) fino a Cismon del Grappa
SS50bis (direzione Feltre/Belluno) fino ad Arten
SS50 per Primiero, San Martino e Passo Rolle fino alla Val Venegia
Nota: 100 km circa da Dueville a Val Venegia.
