Turn-by-turn directions
From the Rosetta Hut walk downhill on the 701 path towards San Martino di Castrozza, once at an altitude 2.300 metres above sea level, take the 712 path (also called “dei Finanzieri” path) until you get to the start of the Bolver Lugli al Cimon della Pala, a recently renovated via ferrata. This very panoramic and lofty via ferrata goes up the southern side of Cimon della Pala and permits to reach the Fiamme Gialle bivouac (3.005 m.a.s.l.). From the bivouac, walk downhill towards Passo del Travignolo (2.935 m.a.s.l.), to admire the wonderful view on the Val Venegia and the route of the first day of the Tour. To get back to Rosetta Hut, walk down Val dei Cantoni on the 716 path to climb up to Passo Bettega (2.660 m.a.s.l.) and then reach the Pale di San Martino plateau and the Hut.
Possible variation: From Passo del Travignolo, in about one hour it is possible to climb up to the top of the near Cima della Vezzana (3.192 m.a.s.l.) following the 716 path, and reach the highest peak of the mountain range of Pale di San Martino.
