From one Alpine Hut to another through the forests of Primiero - Tour 2261

(for 10.20 km) on the dirt road until reaching the Vederna refuge (water fountain). At the junction, continue straight downhill for about 200 m, then keep right and stay on the main dirt road for about 8 km, first uphill, then downhill, except for a short 500 m stretch in the middle, also uphill. After reaching the impluvium called Val Carbonere, take the path that branches off to the right called “degli alberi giganti”, which along ups and downs leads to the Casina Forestale della Valpiana (water fountain).

Continue straight towards the Fonteghi refuge in Valpiana along the dirt road until reaching the buildings of Valpiana di Sopra, then straight ahead in front of the meadow and take the path towards Fonteghi refuge (descent S2). From the refuge, the main road of the Noana Valley leads back to the valley.

The tour continues, crossing the bridge over the Rio Val Noana gorge (to be seen) towards the rope bridge, then turn left at the next junction and continue for about 300 m, then right, where the paved road ends, and take the path leading down towards the rope bridge. After crossing the bridge, climb a steep mule track until reaching the top of the hill in Iner. Downhill, follow the main road towards Mezzano until the junction for Fedai, then turn right onto a flat paved road and continue for about 800 m. At the junction, descend towards the left and stay on the main road, past the junction (Cantarei) until reaching the built-up area of Transacqua. Before the town entry, after the descent, turn left towards Navoi, and at the wide bend turn left again onto the dirt road towards Madonna del Sass, which can be reached along a pleasant up- and downhill trail (S1) that eventually leads back to the point of departure.
