Turn-by-turn directions
Start from the square in front of the refuge and take the uphill mule track on the left of the building, then after about 150 m take the slightly downhill trail on the right, which leads to the stream and then the Giasinozza forest track. Here, turn right and at the next junction keep left on the paved road in the direction of San Giovanni. After reaching Poit, continue first on the left and then after 50 m on the right, downhill until passing the San Giovanni meadows with the namesake church, which we pass on our left. After the homes, before starting the descent, we take a right on the old mule track, which with ups and downs leads us to Falassorno, intersecting the paved road again, which we take uphill until the fountain, where we leave the paved road and turn right, climbing up the dirt road in the direction of the antennas.
Near the antennas, on the left we see an easy trail that we travel up and down along the entire ridge for about 2 kilometres (S1) until coming out on the Fedai-Caderne forest track. We then turn right to quickly reach the paved road that comes up from Mezzano, travelling downhill for a few hundred metres until the intersection towards the right for Le Vale. We take the elevated paved road with suggestive viewpoints until reaching the Agritur Le Vale. We now climb on paved road again, following directions for the Caltena refuge, thus closing the loop.
